Meet Ryan
Founder of ODAAT Fitness, father of two, and someone who believes fitness has the power to change lives.
Throughout my life I’ve always had a passion for staying active — whether it was football, boxing, being outdoors, or keeping fit in the gym. Before opening ODAAT Fitness, I spent almost 10 years serving as a police officer.
In 2022, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and stopped drinking alcohol. That decision transformed not only my health and fitness but my entire outlook on life. It inspired me to qualify as a personal trainer and begin helping others make positive changes of their own.
What started as weekly outdoor boot camps has grown into ODAAT Fitness — a small, community-focused gym built around support, encouragement, and consistency.
There are no egos here — just people from all walks of life working towards their own goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced gym-goer, everyone is welcomed, supported, and made to feel part of the ODAAT community from day one.
Alongside running the gym, I also own and operate McGowan’s Barber Shop, so I understand first-hand the challenges of balancing work, family, and looking after yourself.
Who I work with
I offer personal training for adults and young people aged 11–16, helping clients build confidence, improve their fitness, and develop healthy habits that last. I have a particular passion for working with busy parents, and supporting people who want to reduce or give up alcohol — having experienced that journey myself.
Whether you’re walking into a gym for the very first time, returning after years away, or looking to take your training to the next level, my goal is simple — to help you become stronger, healthier, and more confident.
